"In the Valley of Elah" opens today and should not be missed.

Paul Haggis has come out with the first honest portrayal of the effects of the Iraq war on our returning soldiers. We have heard a lot of rhetoric about 'supporting the troops' coming out of the White House, but sometimes the best thing we can do for them, is look beyond the slogans to face the difficult truth. "In the Valley of Elah" does just that and I can't recommend this film highly enough.

Updates on JetBlue Sponsorship

Bill O'Reilly threatening our sponsor JetBlue and comparing the DailyKos to the KKK and the Nazi party are vile acts of dishonesty that are the hallmarks of Bill O'Reilly's career in broadcast TV. But nothing is going to stop YearlyKos from hosting the greatest convention ever. We are disappointed that JetBlue pulled their logo, but only because our experiences teach us that backing down from O'Reilly only makes things worse. We thank them for the tickets and look forward to seeing everyone next week in Chicago.

YearlyKos, JetBlue on The O'Reilly Factor

YearlyKos Convention 2007 welcomes the online political community, or Netroots, to Chicago on August 2-5, 2007. Participants include national leaders, bloggers, representatives from government and progressive organizations, and regular citizens.

The recent allegations made by the FOX Network and its representatives are rooted in a broad misunderstanding of YearlyKos' mission and the nature of the blogosphere.

We are honored to have JetBlue as a sponsor. Please join us in thanking them for helping us all get to Chicago comfortably.
