When it comes to organizing the YearlyKos Convention, there are two major elements that go unnoticed by most of the attendees. First is the amount of money it takes to put on a convention of our size. And the second is the number of volunteers it takes to make things work.

Mike Farrell has set the standard for backing up his words with action. Now, his words are in print and we have it. As a member of the YKC Screening Series Advisory Board, Mike has graciously given his time and tremendous talent to yet another effort. Us. And we are happy to include his new book in our bookstore.

In the course of my life, I have been fortunate to meet some of the most inspirational and admirable people in the world. I've spoken with Jimmy Carter; been personally thanked by Ginetta Sagan, a co-founder of Amnesty International; and spent four days in Las Vegas with the volunteers who made the first YearlyKos Convention an undisputed success.
