Netroots Nation will take place form July 17-20, 2008 in Austin, Texas. The convention will take place in the Austin Convention Center, and the headquarters hotel is the Austin Hilton Downtown, conveniently located directly across a small downtown street (or about 30 steps, door-to-door). An overflow hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown is also available for conference attendees.

As of June 22, 2008, the main hotel block at the Austin Hilton Downtown is sold out. As of July 1, 2008 the first overflow block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown has been sold out. Convention organizers have secured a third overflow block at the Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Downtown which is within blocks of the other hotels and the Austin Convention Center (see map below).

Both the Austin Hilton and the Austin Hilton Garden Inn are lovely properties located within three blocks from the Austin Convention Center, where all the Netroots Nation events will take place. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, it is also within walking distance of many great restaurants, bars and attractions.
